Dr. Kelli Winarski grew up in southeast Iowa
and attended the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) majoring in biology with
a minor in chemistry. It was during her time at UNI that a running injury first
introduced her to chiropractic.
"After only two adjustments the pain I'd been experiencing for over a year was gone!"
She then began researching the science of chiropractic.
After graduating with honors from UNI, Dr. Kelli immediately began her curriculum at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
The health
consciousness at Palmer led Dr. Kelli to drop 30 pounds, run a marathon and
several half-marathons, and participate in her first triathlon. She has always had a passion for kids and became
interested in wellness while at Palmer. During her time
at Palmer, Dr. Kelli attended many seminars and involved herself in many groups
that helped to improve her skills in chiropractic adjusting, spinal rehabilitation, nutrition, and pregnancy specialty care with the ICPA. Her and her husband Dr. David have one son named Samuel.
Dr. Kelli participated in a chiropractic mission trip to the Fijian Islands where she was one of many doctors to bring chiropractic care to over 4000 children in just 6 days! The only health care many of the children would ever receive in their lifetime.

Dr. Kelli was drawn to Columbia because of the general health consciousness and genuine friendliness of the community each time they visited. She is involved in Susan G. Komen, True North, Boys and Girls Town, and is active in the Women's Network.
Our Bodies are Affected by Many Different Things
"My belief is that our bodies are affected by many different things in our life: physical, chemical and emotional stress; and these stressors have an effect on the ability of the body to adapt. The nervous system controls and coordinates the function of every single action in our bodies. When there is interference in your nervous system these functions are altered and, over time, this can result in many different symptoms."
Technique, Technology & Touch
The puzzle that we must solve lays in determining the degree and the intensity with which this nerve stress has affected your body. In our office we use a combination of technique, technology and touch to determine how we can best help. Our belief is that the more we can give back to our community the better our community will be.
